Revival Night - Soul Winning

Have you ever been in love? When you are in love with someone, do you keep it to yourself? Do you quietly worry that your shared feelings will offend others? No! You tell as many people as will listen to you about the person you love! You have an excitement and passion that compels you to tell someone.
220 is a youth ministry full of young people who are passionately in love with Jesus Christ. We saw this first hand last Friday at “Revival Night.” We turned the 220 leaders loose in the city to share the Gospel. The result, after 1 hour of evangelism, was 114 people praying to be born again!
We arrived at the church and started the evening with a delicious south Louisiana dish – a jambalaya dinner. Then we watched a video from the series “The Way of the Master” that encouraged us to let our passion for Jesus become compassion for the lost. We then divided up into groups, and sent each group out to a different part of the city.
The groups returned after just 1 hour with exciting stories of 114 souls being won! They saw people saved in the mall, in bowling alleys, in Wal-Mart, and anywhere that people were gathered! The excitement in the room was exponentially higher when they returned than when they left. We will hold another night of evangelism this summer, and we are excitedly expecting great results.
Our lives are often so busy that we forget about the reality of eternity. If we want to live a passionate life for Jesus Christ, we must win souls and make disciples.
